SUMMARY:Yoga for Grief
DESCRIPTION:Yoga for Grief is a 2-hour workshop facilitated by Victoria Hospice volunteer Colleen Tiltman\, a certified yoga teacher\, with the support of one of our bereavement counsellors. \n\n\n\nThe workshop is designed for bereaved people to help support their grief journey. Participants will be introduced to a variety of yoga practices\, including gentle movement and postures\, breathing techniques\, and a restorative guided relaxation. \n\n\n\nNo previous yoga experience is required to participate. Modifications and adaptations will be provided as needed. \n\n\n\nPlease bring: \n\n\n\n\na yoga mat\n2 blankets\na small cushion to support your head\nan eye pillow/eye covering\n\n\n\n\nWhen: Wednesday\, Nov. 16\, 9:30 – 11:30 am and again on Wednesday\, Dec. 7\, 9:30 – 11:30 amWhere: In-person\, with COVID-19 protocols in place\, at the Victoria Hospice Community Support Centre located at 102-4450 Chatterton Way.Cost: The workshop fee of $20. No one will be turned away for lack of funds; bursaries are available. \n\n\n\nRegistration: Space is limited. DESCRIPTION:Exploring Grief through Creativity workshops provide a supportive\, creative way for people in bereavement to explore their experiences of grief through various art media. They are open to anyone who is grieving and may be inspired by art and creativity. No art experience is required\, just a willingness to try something creative.
