DESCRIPTION:Everyone is welcome to attend the Victoria Hospice Society 2025 AGM in person at the Victoria Golf Club\, or online via Teams. \nVictoria Hospice Society members in good standing are entitled to vote at the AGM (VHS Bylaw #2.8). The deadline for a new or renewed membership is August 26\, 2025. Anyone over the age of 19 who is not employed by the Victoria Hospice Society is eligible for membership in the society. \nThe annual membership fee is $10. SUMMARY:Movie Night and Discussion: Pixar’s “Coco”
DESCRIPTION:Audience: Anyone in the Greater Victoria area who is grieving following the death of a close person. \nWhere: Victoria Hospice Community Support Centre at 102-4450 Chatterton Way \nWhen: October 30th\, 2024\, from 6 to 9pm \nWhat: For the first part of this event\, we will view the movie. Coffee/tea/water and a snack will be provided. Following the film\, Victoria Hospice’s research\, quality\, and safety manager Michelle Bahena-Olivares\, as well as bereavement counsellors Heidi Wigmore and Marney Thompson\, will facilitate a discussion with the audience about grief\, mourning\, and cultural traditions. \nNOTE: This focus of this evening will be socializing\, light discussion\, and learning. Although we expect that this film may surface people’s grief\, there will not be an opportunity for individuals to deeply express and share personal grief.  \nHow: Seats are limited\, and you must reserve your tickets in advance. Reserve your tickets here. \nPlease do not attend if you have signs of illness/infection. We appreciate your attention to this matter. Masks are optional. \nThe workshop is free of charge. Please only register if you feel will be able to attend the workshop.
