This year marked the 15th annual Goddess Run and Victoria Hospice’s 4th year being a charity of choice for this event. On Sunday, March 8, 1000 goddesses came out to Beaver Lake to run the 5km and 10km runs. The weather was fine, the energy was high and it was the perfect way to celebrate International Women’s Day! Everyone enjoyed visiting all the vendors, getting their photo snapped and the announcement of many draw prizes. Things kicked off with a lively warm up led by Mena from Power West Athletics and then the runners were off.
We loved chatting with participants at our tent and seeing everyone wearing the friendship bracelets made by Hospice Volunteers!
A big thank you to everyone who raised money, donated to a runner or bought a bracelet in support of end-of-life care! We are excited to announce that we raised over $11,800!
