On race day, the streets of downtown Victoria filled with thousands of people gathered for the Times Colonist 10K — walking, running, and cheering together. Among them was the Victoria Hospice community, moving with a shared sense of purpose that reached far beyond the finish line.

As a charity partner in this year’s TC10K, Victoria Hospice was honoured to be represented by participants who stepped forward for deeply personal reasons. Some ran in memory of loved ones. Others walked in gratitude for compassionate care their families had received. Each kilometre represented support, remembrance, and a belief that no one should face illness, dying, or grief alone.
At the Thrifty Foods Family Fun Run, Victoria Hospice volunteers brought big smiles and even bigger cheers. From high‑fives for little racers to encouragement for families along the route, they helped make the day fun, welcoming, and full of heart — showing that support and community spirit are always worth celebrating.
Funds raised through the TC10K help support end‑of‑life care, grief counselling, and many services provided by Victoria Hospice throughout our community. We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated, donated, volunteered, or cheered.
