Did you know that the residents and staff of Berwick Royal Oak Retirement Community have raised more than $28K for Victoria Hospice since 2010? They aren’t simply fantastic fundraisers, they deliver! Victoria Hospice was honoured by their most recent visit and generous donation of $2,471.30 – PLUS a delicious tray of treats for our clinical care team, which were greatly appreciated.

When presenting the donation to Victoria Hospice CEO Teri Henderson, Kathy McAree, Berwick Community Relations Manager shared, “We know what you do is so incredibly special. I can’t imagine what it takes to do the jobs that you do, and we thank you from our hearts, for all of that, and for the love that you share in Victoria. I know you can just see by the looks on everybody’s faces that it’s near and dear to us, and it’s not lost on us the incredible work.”
Tuck Shop sales of knitted and crocheted items, along with woodworks, hand-painted cards and paper flowers all contribute to the donation total. These talented and generous artisans have also donated proceeds from their annual Winter Craft Fair, and half the funds raised at the monthly Theme Dinner Nights 50/50 draw also went to Victoria Hospice.

We could not be more grateful to such devoted community fundraisers!
