Director of Education and Research

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Education & Research facilitates excellence in hospice palliative care practice across all Victoria Hospice programs through education, evaluation, knowledge translation, research, and broad collaboration. The Director participates as a core member of the leadership team and shares accountability with other Hospice leaders to ensure compliance with professional organizational standards and practices in hospice palliative care.

Director of Nursing

Reporting to and under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director of Nursing provides leadership to Victoria Hospice Society (VHS) patient care delivery, financial management and strategic and operational planning. The Director is accountable for the coordination of care services, provision and maintenance of human and material resources, development and implementation of departmental goals and budget, and policies and procedures to ensure alignment with the VHS’s strategic direction. Community Engagement and Education Facilitator

Working within the vision, values and mission of Victoria Hospice Society, the Community Engagement and Education Facilitator (“the Community Facilitator”) is an integral part of Victoria Hospice’s Education and Research Department. The goal of the Community Facilitator is to identify, establish, maintain and grow community interest and capacity in palliative care and death and dying.

Reporting to the Director of Education and Research, this position works closely with staff and community stakeholders to identify and explore education needs for the public, facilitate events and support the development, delivery, and evaluation of community education projects.

Philanthropy Coordinator

We are seeking a Philanthropy Coordinator to play a key role in helping to establish long-lasting relationships with our incredible donor community. The Philanthropy Coordinator reports to the Director of Fund Development, and works closely with all members of the team. This full-time permanent role is integral in supporting all facets of our dynamic fundraising office.

The Philanthropy Coordinator is highly organized and impeccably detail-oriented, likes to work within systems, and has strong project management and administrative abilities. The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills and is energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated, with a can-do attitude and genuine interest in Victoria Hospice’s mission.
