Exploring Grief through Creativity Workshop: Celebrate a Life

If you are grieving the death of a loved one, and are inspired by art-making and creativity, join us for an Exploring Grief through Creativity workshop. Facilitated by a Victoria Hospice Bereavement Counsellor with Expressive Arts training, we provide a non-judgmental creative container for you to access and explore your experiences of grief through various visual art supplies. No prior “art” experience is required to participate – just a willingness and interest to try something creative.
Where: This is a 3 hour, in-person workshop taking place at the Victoria Hospice Community Support Centre at 102-4450 Chatterton Way.
When: Tuesday May 19, 1pm-4pm
Who: A limited number of registered participants who are bereaved following the loss of a loved one.
Fee: No cost – All art materials and some refreshments provided.
What to expect:
- Welcome and introduction to the session theme;
- A brief demonstration of art materials and some mixed-media techniques;
- An opportunity for creative exploration;
- A short break, with tea/coffee and some snacks;
- Personal reflection time;
- A group discussion and invitation to share with other participants.
