Mountain Golf Tournament
Friday, August 14 - Saturday, August 15

A tight-knit circle of family and friends will once again take to the greens August 14-15 for the 33rd Annual Mountain Golf Tournament. What began as a small gathering of 12 golfers has grown into a 70-player event, now played across Olympic View, Cordova Bay, and Bear Mountain.
The tournament was originally inspired by Paul Sekhon — a founding member, cherished friend, and devoted family man who passed away in 2011. The compassionate care Paul received, both on the Inpatient Unit and at home through the Palliative Response Team, left a lasting impression on those closest to him. In his memory, they remain committed to ensuring that others can access the same level of support at the end of life.
“In the final weeks of Dad’s life, being able to use hospice services at home was an incredible gift,” shares Paul’s son, Javas. “We had four weeks together in our home, with friends and family coming to visit — something many people don’t get to experience. That time was truly special, and hospice made it possible.”
The tournament also honours the memory of Raman Jhuti, a valued team member and dear friend who passed away in 2020.
Together, in tribute to Paul and Raman, participants are working toward a $25,000 fundraising goal this year. Since its inception, the tournament has raised more than $245,000 in support of hospice care.
