Spinathon cyclists duel for donations
Saturday, June 3 at 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Cycle of Life Tour riders spin for donations to support hospice care on Vancouver Island
A team of cyclists are going the distance to support compassionate end-of-life care at Victoria Hospice. In August, they’ll ride more than 200 km over two days around southern Vancouver Island and Salt Spring Island in the annual Cycle of Life Tour fundraising ride.
But on Saturday, June 3, the Breaking Wind for Victoria Hospice team will be at Canadian Tire at the Hillside Centre to compete with teams representing Nanaimo Community Hospice and the Oceanside Hospice Society in a Spinathon duel for donations. The Nanaimo and Oceanside teams will spin at their local Canadian Tire stores.
Last year, this Victoria team raised more than $19,000 for Victoria Hospice in the Cycle of Life Tour. This year they plan to raise even more to ensure everyone has access to compassionate end-of-life care.
Drop by Canadian Tire on Hillside on June 3 between 9 am and 3 pm to show the cyclists your support! You can also contribute to the team’s efforts on their fundraising page.
