Victoria Hospice Bereavement Services is offering an 8-week support group in an online environment for adults who are bereaved after the death of someone important in their life.  Facilitated by a bereavement counsellor, this group incorporates grief education, discussions, sharing and support, and therapeutic activities.

The group aims to enhance one’s sense of community and belonging, create space to grieve, explore grief education, promote discussions between members, and support the healing and adaption process in each of the group member’s grief.

When: Thursdays 4:30-6:30pm, February 1 to March 21, 2024

Where: Online on Zoom. A camera, microphone, and a larger device that can support the Zoom platform is required.

Who: A limited number of pre-registered participants to enhance comfort. A commitment to attend all sessions enhances the value of the group experience.

How: A pre-group interview with a counsellor is required to discuss your needs, answer any questions you may have, and determine whether the group is a good fit for you at this time. We have a variety of grief support options and want to ensure we can best meet your needs.

Fee: There is a group fee of $70, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds; bursaries to cover this cost, in part or in full, are available.
