Victoria Hospice Bereavement Services is offering a seven-week support group for adults who are grieving a loved one who has died by suicide.
This 7-week registered walking group open to all adults in the Greater Victoria Community who are bereaved after the death of someone important in their life. Participants may explore their grief through the movement of walking, through being outdoors in nature, and through being with other grievers in this supported group experience.
This 2-hour workshop will be facilitated by Victoria Hospice volunteer Colleen Tiltman, a certified yoga teacher, with the support of one of our bereavement counsellors.
The Cultural Humility at the End of Life program is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of volunteers and staff (nurses, physicians, social workers, counsellors, health care aides) who care for diverse people with life-limiting illnesses.
A one-time, interactive workshop covering the basics of grief and mourning, and ways to cope for those who are bereaved following the death of a loved one.
