Offered in half-day workshops and a six-week group at the Victoria Hospice Community Support Centre on Chatterton Way, Exploring Grief through Creativity draws on themes such as self-care and celebrating the life of the person who has died.

The Facilities Maintenance & Operations Golf Tournament draws 90 employees for a nine-hole tournament to support end-of-life care Aug. 21.

The Mountain Golf Tournament fundraiser was established in memory of beloved friend and family member Paul Sekhon in 2011.

Seeing the difference hospice and palliative care made in the lives – and deaths – of loved ones motivates Kelly McLaren. She’ll join 100 riders in the Cycle of Life Tour July 16-17 to raise funds for hospices on Vancouver Island.

The Palliative Care Intensive course is designed for physicians, residents, nurses, pharmacists, medical students, and other healthcare professionals interested in palliative care. The next session starts Sept. 19.
